The champions of last year's event, Cloud9, are currently not on the list. ESL have announced the list of teams invited to IEM Dallas 2023, which is set to take place in Texas, USA from May 29-June 4 — just over a week after the end of the Paris Major. The LAN event will host 16 teams in the Lone Star State to compete for the lion's share of a $250,000 prize pool and a notch in the Intel Grand Slam belt. The top-four ranked teams in the world will compete at the tournament, with G2, HEROIC, Liquid, and FaZe all looking to get their hands on the trophy. The Finn "karrigan" Andersen-led squad will have their chance to claim the Intel Grand Slam at this event if they are unable to do so at ESL Pro League Season 17 or IEM Rio. ![]() Rounding out the North American contingent of invited teams are Complexity and Evil Geniuses as the former's partner status with ESL gave them the opportunity to attend the event, while Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov and company take the "Local Hero" invite. One more local team will join the roster from the North American closed qualifier, which is set to play out from March 4-5. FURIA are the only South American squad on the list, while Outsiders are the only CIS team currently announced. MOUZ and ENCE complete the list of invited teams. Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer's men reached the final of the 2022 edition and will tackle the event with a different roster featuring Guy "NertZ" Iluz and Álvaro "SunPayus" García. ![]() The most notable absence from the team list is Cloud9, who won the tournament in 2022. One more invite is set to be given based on the ESL World Ranking in the coming months, while several regional qualifiers will allow two teams from Europe, and one from each North America, South America, and Oceania to join the battle in Texas.
